Wade Trips

Knowing where to go on a wading trip is half the battle. At Greyfox Outfitters we have the local knowledge built up from decades of fishing to find the perfect spots to enjoy the day. Walk and wade fishing is a great shore-side alternative to the float trip. Because your guide doesn’t have to row a boat while guiding your trip, they have more time to pay attention to and guide your technique.

If you want to enjoy a relaxing pace or learn more about fishing on your own, walk and wade trips are great. Families love this option because their entire group can stay together instead of being divided up 2 anglers per boat. If you have difficulties with mobility or energy levels, a float trip may be better for you.

Description

Full day fly fishing trips are a great way to experience the sport of fishing with one of our experienced professional fishing guides. Full Day trips are offered out of the Blue Ridge Mountains and take place on a variety of rivers depending on the time of year, and the wants and needs of our clients. These trips are ideal for anglers looking to improve their skills, or anyone wanting to enjoy a memorable day on the water.

Duration

5-8 hours of fishing (doesn't include drive time to and from the fishing location)

Trip Includes

Lunch and drinks, terminal tackle, waders, rod, and reel.

All you need to bring is a valid fishing license and you are good to go!

Float Trips

GFO has over 100 miles of river that we float on a regular basis. Our typical float trip covers 6-9 miles of river. These are our most popular trips, offering anglers access to stretches of river that would otherwise be inaccessible. Floats can be for general fishing or specialized for exactly what your looking for, be it trout, smallmouth bass, or others!
